Alan Sepinwall was one the pinoeers of reviewing television shows episode by episode. In his new book The Revolution Was Televised, he analyzes twelve dramas that redefined what you could do on TV - Oz, The Sopranos, Deadwood, The Wire, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Lost, 24, Friday Night Lights, Battlestar Galactica, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad. On this week’s Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show we discuss how he got those twelve, what just missed the list, and if The Wire would have been more popular if it premiered in 2012.
The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show is available at iTunes, YouTube, and JeffRubinJeffRubinShow.com.
Alan’s TV reviews appear every day on Hitfix.com.His book is available via iBooks, Kindle, and paperback.
Such a good episode this week. This was a book that needed to be written, and I’m glad Jeff got to talk to the man who up and wrote it. Also, mad props to Buffy for being the earliest show to make the cut. As Giles would say, “Ah, yes, well done.”
Folks, we’ve been alerted that some scuzzballs are pretending to be us on Instagram. What’s worse is that they are posting screen caps from Season 12.
